  In 2017, Girard-Perregaux offers a feminine interpretation born from a wealth of refined details. The Laureato 34 is a logical continuation of the story, first of all with regard to its quartz movement, as Girard-Perregaux was a pioneer in this type of mechanism. Heavily involved in research and development and a reference brand for quartz calibers in the 1970s, it became the first – in 1978 – to offer a movement compact enough to equip women's watches.
