Longine Ultra Chron Classic
The ULTRA CHRON CLASSIC, model L2.937.4.72.2, is an automatic watch with a 40 mm stainless steel case. It features a date function, a mechanical self-winding movement with a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour and an approximate power reserve of 52 hours, equipped with a monocrystalline silicon balance spring. Water-resistant up to 5 bar, it has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with a multilayer anti-reflective coating on both sides and a silver sunburst-finish dial. The strap is made of alligator leather with a buckle. In 1968, LONGINES launched the Ultra-Chron Diver, the first dive watch with a high-frequency movement, reinforcing its pioneering role in this technology that dates back to 1910, when the brand created the first high-frequency timing device capable of measuring 1/10 of a second, followed in 1959 by the development of the first high-frequency movement for watches.
