Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon
The OMEGA Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon, reference 310.92.44.50.06.002, pays tribute to the brand’s legacy in space exploration, featuring a 44.25 mm polished and brushed grey ceramic case treated with plasma. The brushed grey ceramic bezel includes a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova.
The skeletonized grey anodized aluminum dial reveals the visible side of the Moon, while the dark side can be seen through the caseback, decorated with engravings and the quote from Jim Lovell: “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY.” The manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer 3869 movement, laser-ablated to evoke the lunar surface, offers a 50-hour power reserve and Master Chronometer-certified precision.
The watch features sub-dials at 9 o’clock for the small seconds, 3 o’clock for 30 minutes, and 6 o’clock for 12 hours, with Moonwatch hands and grey indices filled with Super-LumiNova. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on both sides, and the watch is water-resistant to 5 bar (50 meters).
Completing the model is a grey rubber strap decorated with a lunar surface-inspired pattern and a ceramic deployant clasp with ceramized titanium components, with a total weight of 101 grams.
