  Tentagraph, Grand Seiko’s first mechanical chronograph combining precision and a three-day power reserve. First introduced in 2006, the Mount Iwate motif has become an emblem of Grand Seiko mechanical watchmaking. This majestic mountain has become a constant source of inspiration for Grand Seiko and its choice for the brand’s first mechanical chronograph is both symbolic and fitting. The dial, featuring a blue tint, conjures up the imagination of the night sky above Mount Iwate. The first Grand Seiko model of its kind, the Tentagraph is powered by the new Caliber 9SC5, which uses Caliber 9SA5 as its basis, and symbolizes the next generation of Grand Seiko sports watches, both in terms of technological innovation and equally striking Evolution 9 style. Like Caliber 9SA5, the Tentagraph’s new Caliber 9SC5 beats at a frequency of ten vibrations per second, ensuring high precision in timekeeping. Thanks to its energy-efficient escapement and its two barrels, the watch offers a power reserve of three days (72 hours), even when using the chronograph function. The Tentagraph thus becomes the 10-beat chronograph with the longest power reserve available on the market in 2023.

  The design has been completely revised to allow active use and easy reading on the move. The Tentagraph's 43.2 mm case and bracelet are made of high-intensity titanium, approximately 30% lighter and more scratch-resistant than stainless steel, while the bezel is made of scratch-resistant ceramic.
