More than just an Activity Tracker

Wearing the new Garmin vívofit jr. 3 on their wrist throughout the day, children will be able to keep track of the number of steps taken, the quality of hours of rest, and the recommended minutes of daily physical activity so they can follow a healthy lifestyle pattern.

From the Garmin Jr. app, you can also download new screens to customize your vívofit jr. 3 and also the I.C.E “in case of emergency” widget that allows essential contact information for mom and dad to be displayed on the display, even in loop mode.

Thanks to the timed activity setting girls and boys can play and practice their favorite sports and, once the activity is over, see the number of steps taken and distance traveled right through the Garmin Jr. app.

Water-resistant and with a replaceable battery that has a battery life of up to a year, the new Garmin vívofit jr. 3 allows family challenges to be set through the Toe-to-Toe app.

A personal assistant for parents
The vívofit jr. 3 is an invaluable device not only for children but also for parents: if the little ones at home wear a compatible Garmin device, moms and dads will be able to view their children's motor activity progress, their sleep quality, data on goals achieved, and much more on their smartphone display. The new fitness tracker is therefore ideal at a time when parents notice that their children are spending too much time in front of the computer or television. On the vívofit jr. 3, it is also possible to assign tasks and schedule alerts that will then appear as icons on the device's display: small duties that can be set on a weekly or daily basis to give children basic organization and help them take responsibility.

To encourage the performance of these tasks, a collection of virtual coins can be set up in the adventures, rewards that can be redeemed in the form of prizes based on the achievement of certain goals.

Finally, parents, by activating “Child Mode” in the Garmin Jr. app, will set up limited access to vívofit jr. 3 data so that only the last achieved level of adventures are shown to them and spur them on to do their best each day.
