Breitling Top Time B01 Ford Mustang
The 1960s were a decade of experimentation, fun, freedom and energy. The watchword of those days was to live life at maximum speed: riding a motorbike for long journeys or aboard a sports car. Willy Breitling sensed this change of pace and decided to design an unconventional chronograph, which would capture the verve of the period. And he called it Top Time. That spirit-filled tradition continues today with the collaboration between Breitling and some of the motoring world's most iconic brands to create Top Time designs. The first generation Ford Mustang, produced from 1964 to 1974, became the most popular car to travel in America in the great 60s. A true legend still in production, although experts know that the best Mustangs were those very first models that helped capture the free spirit of the 1960s. The Top Time B01 Ford Mustang features the colors and emblem of its classic car counterpart, as well as a perforated leather racing-style strap, tachymeter scale for speed measurement and contrasting "squircle" subdials (not quite square, not really round) which are reminiscent of vintage dashboard rev counters. Under the hood it also has a new engine to boast about: the extraordinary Breitling-manufactured caliber 01.
