Breitling Aereospace B70 Orbiter
The pilot's chronograph for those who love adventure, complemented by a living piece of history. On March 21, 1999, Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones completed the first nonstop circumnavigation of the planet in a balloon. With a landing in the Egyptian desert, Breitling Orbiter 3's journey covered a distance of 45,633 km in 19 days, 21 hours and 47 minutes. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of this feat, Breitling launched the Aerospace B70 Orbiter. With its vibrant orange dial reflecting the color of the balloon capsule and adorned with the mission logo, this timepiece comes in a variant with a titanium bracelet or black rubber strap. Its titanium case, a material chosen for its best strength-to-weight ratio, houses the COSC-certified Breitling manufacture caliber B70. This SuperQuartz™ movement, ten times more accurate than standard quartz, powers so many features, including a 1/100th of a second chronograph (with split-second and lap time function), a countdown timer, a second time zone, two alarms, and a perpetual calendar. Best of all, each watch in this special edition contains a living piece of history: a fragment of the original ball, visible through the open case back.
