“Hurricane Gaultier” – that’s how it was described by the lucky audience members at the Fashion Freak Show (the Teatro Nuovo was completely sold out).

Eccentric, scandalous, provocative, exuberant and entertaining, the famous French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier literally won over the audience at the Festival dei Due Mondi.
The show’s central theme is the key milestones in JPG’s career and life, from his childhood to his global success, with a succession of stage designs, music and dance routines that inevitably captivate the audience.
At the end of the show, Jean Paul Gaultier took to the stage for the final curtain call with the young performers from the company he directs, accompanied by a standing ovation.
Moved by the audience’s reaction, Gaultier received the Fondazione Cassa Di Risparmio Di Spoleto award, presented by the President, Sergio Zinni, the Mayor, Umberto De Augustinis, and the Artistic Director, Giorgio Ferrara. The award, a 925 silver ‘Teodelapio’, crafted by our goldsmith’s workshop in Spoleto, is a source of great pride for us and for the entire Umbrian craft sector.
