The new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Diver is the result of decades of research and development by Rado, the renowned Swiss ‘Master of Materials’. This eagerly awaited model, available in six stunning versions, combines the latest innovations in high-tech ceramic construction with the brand’s advanced watchmaking technology. This new, robust diving watch, designed for exploration, is fitted with a latest-generation automatic movement featuring a Nivachron™ anti-magnetic balance spring and an 80-hour power reserve, housed in a 43mm monobloc case made from virtually indestructible high-tech ceramic.
Watch enthusiasts will notice the Captain Cook’s exquisite details, including the date window at the 3 o’clock position with red numerals – a nod to previous editions – and the contoured crystal, now made of highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides. The large, clearly legible hour, minute and second hands are treated with Super-LumiNova to ensure excellent visibility even in low light, as are the hour markers and numerals on the bezel. The new model is ISO 6425-certified – a first for Rado – a certification brilliantly achieved thanks to its water resistance to 300 metres.
