Garmin has launched five Marq watches: Commander, Adventurer, Athlete, Aviator and Captain. Each model has a unique design and a set of features that make it suitable for specific activities. For example, the Aviator model is designed for pilots, whilst the Adventurer model is designed for hiking and outdoor enthusiasts.
All Marq models include GPS tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, heart rate monitoring and a high-definition colour display. Each model has a battery life ranging from 12 to 28 hours, depending on usage.
The Commander model is best suited to military professionals, with features such as a tactical compass, GPS coordinate display, position tracking and a moon phase display. Furthermore, this model is water-resistant to 100 metres and features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The Adventurer is designed for nature and outdoor enthusiasts. It features a topographic map function showing real-time location, a barometric altimeter, a thermometer and an electronic compass. This model is also equipped with a satellite navigation function and a digital compass.
The Athlete model is designed for fitness and sports enthusiasts, and includes advanced fitness tracking features, such as VO2 max monitoring, recovery time and training effect measurement. In addition, this model has a sleep tracking function and can also be used for swimming.
The Aviator model is a favourite amongst pilots thanks to its aviation navigation features, such as glide slope indication, flight plan functionality and estimated time of arrival calculation. This model is also equipped with safety features, such as a cabin air pressure alarm and activity tracking.
The Captain model has been designed for sailors and offers features such as route tracking, an electronic compass, a countdown timer for regattas and wind speed display.
